We have booked two more holidays at the Monsell, book from their website www.monsellhotel.co.uk its a lot cheaper than booking from trip adviser or late rooms etc.
“We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Skegness”
We stay here at least once a year with friends. You get the warmest of welcomes - nothing is too much trouble. Clean and comfortable rooms in a great location within walking distance of Skegness best bits. Fren and John from Nottingham.
“Lovely Stay”
Myself, partner and his brother and partner came and stayed for 3 nights and have to say it was a great place to stay. the owners are a great laugh and made u feel very welcome, even made a great cuppa on arrival:) Whole place was decorated lovely, en suite was compact but was clean and gave u what you needed. Overall a great place and great price and it's well worth a visit. You will have plenty of laughs along the way. X Caz from Birmingham.
“No noisy Guests”
We just love the Monsell we have been five times we have a nice time every time “this is very rare in skegness most hotels just take the money and don’t care about the guests” if your a group of young lads or girls just out to get drunk don’t book The Monsell, if your single or a couple looking for somewhere nice to stay in Skegness where you can relax etc the Monsell is for you. “Good Accommodation in Skegness”
The Monsell is in a quiet position it’s an easy short walk in to the town and it’s cheaper than other places in skeg and there's plenty of room to park.
I like the Monsell, it's got character, it's well run and friendly, but relaxed, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would thoroughly recommend this place. Lady travelling alone. Jenny from Southampton.
"Very nearly faultless"
Firstly I would like to thank The Monsell for a first class stay and congratulate them on their obvious ability to run a successful hotel. A birthday treat for my wife - we stayed in a large double room at the Monsell over the last weekend of the Lincoln Chritmas Market we drove there it only took about 1hr from the hotel The hotel is very well situated within easy walking distance of skegness (10mins max) The owners are very friendly and helpful always greeting you with a warm smile and are an asset to the hotel. A Warm and friendly welcome. Very accommodation and nothing was too much trouble for them. Clean room with towels and free tea and coffee, and was offered a full English. Definitely worth booking for a hassle free stay :)

This hotel was near to Horncastle where we had a grave to visit but also served as a base for the Xmas market in Lincoln. We had an awful trip up from Gloucester, but were pleasantly surprised when the managers called to see if we were ok, lovely touch, we got there two hours after reception closed to find them...

Myself and my partner at the time stayed here for 1 night as a last minute trip. Overall the hotel could use quite a bit of upgrading/modernising. There were a few issues, however the service provided by the hotel managers was faultless. We felt welcomed from the second we walked in. They were incredibly helpful and just for this reason.
